This sounds better than a dating agency;);)maybe Naanylala should try this tactic:)asI have a few more vouchers to use up0 -
Well, my Morries plan of campaign is going well so far. Picked up some banana boxes for longer-term storage, have cut out the vouchers (am keeping the newspapers to wrap up any fruit such as apples for long-term storage), checked my stock of recycled jars (about 40-50), and I even went to the JB Lending Library - it's open late Thursdays, and I've got lifetime membership - to pick up some recipe books for ideas:
There's sooooo many great-sounding recipes to choose from - Spiced Cranberry & Roasted Orange Jelly, Pears Poached in Wine, Peach Melba Compote, Blueberry Ketchup ("both fresh and familiar", will definitely have to try that one!), Pear & Vodka Jelly ("simply melt over poached pears for the perfect dessert"), Roasted Pear Puree ("a rustic sauce with lots of amped-up flavour"), Sweet Pickled Plums ("you can nibble on these just as they are"), Apricots in Honey Syrup ("the very essence of summer in a jar"), Cranberry Molasses ("drizzle over salad for an unexpected blast of flavour"), Dried Apricots (didn't realise drying fruit was so easy, in the oven at 170C for 4-8 hrs depending on fruit, with oven door propped open with wooden spoon to let the steam out) ... I just don't know where to start:rotfl:
If any of the recipes sound tempting, let me know and I'll see if I can post them.'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'
