Couple of ideas for cheap meals using the m vouchers. Both are SW variations so no butter.

    Spanish omelette

    All approx measures

    750g cooked, sliced potatoes
    Lge onion, roughly sliced
    9 medium eggs

    Switch oven to to 190c

Cook potatoes (or use leftovers) till just slightly under cooked. Cool quickly - drain and then fill the pan up with cold water. When cool, drain and slice them.
Put onion in a micro-dish with a little water. Cover with clingfilm and cook for 2 mins on high in microwave. When cooked drain liquid off of them.

    Mix 9 eggs together in a jug/bowl.

Spray omelette (frying pan about 9"/22cm size) with frylight (I use the buttery one). Heat for a minute on med/high on the hob. Pour enough egg mixture to cover the base thinly and then about a couple of tablespoons more. When the base is set (about 1 min) put a third of the potatoes and onions in and then cover with more of the egg mixture. Repeat until all is used. Turn off hob.

Put pan in oven with the handle pointing to the side wall and cook for 10 mins. Using a tea towel/oven gloves to hold the pan, turn it so that the handle faces the other side wall. Cook for a further 4 mins. Covering the handle again (so you don't get burnt) test by inserting a knife into the centre of the omelette. It should be very slightly runny as it will continue to cook when you take it out of the oven. If too runny, cook and test in 1 minute increments.

This can be eaten hot or cold. I have it cold with salad.

    Mixed veggie omelette/frittata

    2 Sweet potatoes
    Mixed coloured peppers
    Red onion large
    9 medium eggs

    Switch oven on to 190c.

Slice all veg thinly and put on a 'frylighted' baking tray. Cook for about 18 mins, till veg are just cooked.

    Mix eggs.

Cook the omelette/frittata as above, adding the mixed veg the egg mixture etc.

Transfer to the oven and cook as above.

Ditto eat hot or cold. Is especially good for picnics/packed lunches. Very filling if you are hungry because it is 'free' food on SW. My DN loves both as he is a vegetarian.

Any veg/leftover veg can be used.

If you like Brussels, they can also be frozen. (Using m voucher). I know someone who gets kurly kale for their guinea pigs.

Sounds yummy, do you think it would cook properly under the grill?

Good morning all, lovely and sunny here.

I really shouldn't do these but I can't resist. I will admit to having an unfair advantage as I passed the Mensa test, but I scored 132 :D

    :j I also got 132.

Afternoon all. My brother is driving me absolutely nuts today, to say he's being a complete utter male chicken is an understatement. Ever since he moved back in last week he's been sorting through everything in the house and throwing away anything he likes (including my old school books) and being very demanding (like telling me to take him to the tip straight away and having a go at me if I say I can't). It just makes me want to move out more, but with this day and age if feels virtually impossible!

    Afternoon All

Benn out of things for a few days as had a bad RA flare up :(. Still hobbling but managed to get some sun's this morning and have done a M's f&v shop :)

Would appreciate some help/advise from the savvy Elite, please.
I'm trying to do a targeted candle shop v M's and know the items I have in my basket are all good comparers BUT msm is showing T's as cheaper although that is with replacements. Will this still work as a V M's or will it be a failed V T's.

tia really want to place this order.....have a grand plan for the candles which I will fill you in on later but must rest hands now

Have you looked on t's own web site to check the prices?
I find msm a bit frustrating at the moment when Its showing a shop is cheaper but with a replacement item... So I've started double checking their own web sites...
    Hth:)

    Good morning :D

How are you all getting your C&C results through so quickly??

My C&C from yesterday 10.45am is still showing as "your shopping is on its way" ...

I have another c&c order with some poos (now showing as oos though but managed to get some in my order before that happened) to collect tomorrow morning, but am a bit worried that the results of my last C&C are not through yet as there is no APG button :(

Also interferes with the candle shop I want to put in
    No point being mad.

Please ensure that you've waited 48 hrs after your shopping was delivered to compare prices

C&C results are store dependent, some stores are on the ball and take 30mins, some take a few days. Nothing you can do about it so no use worrying about it. ;)

    Thanks where's my cashback :T

ggrrrrrrrr mechanic reckons abs pump......i had better start saving eh

    :-(

    i hate cars

Worth asking about getting it refurbished/getting a refurb - my abs traction unit went last year (or rather warning light on dashboard made it fail MOT due to faulty sensor, a known fault but the MOT rules changed last year and therefore had no choice ) causing no end of mayhem but much cheaper to get it sent away and refurbed/exchanged. After reading around on forums I found http://www.bba-reman.com/uk/Catalogue.aspx and encouraged my garage to use them rather than £1200 that Vauxhall were quoting. They also sell their parts/service on eBay if you want to get an idea of prices for your model. No guarantees but worth a look.
