I'm hoping to get 1kg chicken breast fillet and 1kg mince beef for £6 on each transaction. Not going with the 3 for £10 as I think I can do better. Hth

Edit - will be 1160grams of breast so even better deal

if the chicken crown is available they are 2 for £5 each weigh 500g so they are a good deal may get a few of these

Feeling really meh at the moment.

Hubby who has more or less been housebound for the last few years due to severe copd. Recently he has found new confidence and been coming shopping with me. I tell him to leave the check out to me as I have to load the shopping onto the conveyor belt etc, while he sits down due to his breathing playing up.

This morning, Im putting my shopping on the belt. 9 or 10 items that compare a vs t.
He comes along with 2 tins of napollini, e45 cream, sugar. I put a divider between them and explain I will pay for them seperately. Oh dont be silly says he, pay for them together, you still have more than 8 items. I try to explain that I dont know how his 3 items will compare. He doesnt get it and as his breathing is getting worse I give up and by this time the cashier is giving me strange looks.

Anyway, get home and look up on msm. Napollini toms are £1.10 in T's and 50p in A's :eek::eek::eek::eek: So thats at least £1.20 lost so far. the sugar and e45 are both more expensive in T's, so more money lost on the APG :mad::mad:

Cant even have a go at him in case I dent his confidence in going out. But really making me feel angry.
APG not confirmed yet tho but doesnt look promising :(

    Rant over :o

Aww bless you both :o It's great that he's getting out and about and you're spending time together, even if he is driving you mad! ;) I'm sure with a little bit of patience you can get him round to your way of doing things.
My OH hasn't set foot in a shop, or many other places for years. I think I'd feel a little invaded if he were to start being 'helpful' too! concentrate on his new found confidence and losing a few pennies won't seem so bad hug4.gif

Did you use just straight cash or did you use an APG? And did you have a back up plan incase it didn't work ;)

I know a few people out there got the 1p T mobile contract last year...me included, bu have noticed this month that 2 x DDs have been taken. One for the usual 1p and another for 23p.

Happened to anyone else and do you know why? Can't be ar sed to spend 20mins calling India and getting nowhere for such a small amount.

I have a vague recollection it happened last month. They wrote saying they were going to put the price up by inflation (ish) or something similar. I believe the reason it seems to be a large increase to us 1p/2p contracts is that the real price is £8 and we get an £8 reduction. They upped the price based on a few percent of £8 not a few percent of 2p. Hope that makes sense. It's been my main contract since Nov so can't complain even at 20 odd pence (robbing beggers :D)

    ETA: 2.7% from May 28th

mhoc, did you make it to Ts? I was interested in seeing how you got on, especially with the Douwe. AAU posted that the veg pot coupons are live agian which could help (although you might need to print from a different PC if you have already had them).

No changes to mine, but have noticed that fuel prices have dropped again in A :)

    Petrol 125.7
    Diesel 128.7

    Obviously other locations may vary.

Sorry, I meant when you check apg's!
