:rotfl: I saw them loads in the late 80s. Lots of good memories
I came across some photos of a Runrig concert not long ago. I went with my Dad and it was in Inverness, can't remember the year but it was early 90s. I wasn't really a fan but he was.
And on another note, I was offered tickets to see Tom Jones at Lytham tomorrow night. No offence to TS and nannylala, but in can't stand himso I turned them down
OMG :eek::eek:
I must admit I went off him a bit a few weeks ago when I had a very very stonkingly lovely early night with DS interrupted by the dulcet tones of the Green Green Grass Of Home wafting across from Chepstow Racecourse at 11pm :eek:0 -

However I have been stocking up on a few items that can be stored and while chatting to the manager he told me that I didn't need to do them like that, I then went to the back of the store and my daughter wanted 3 music cds. Which the rule was 1 per transaction and it didn't matter if it was over £10 even tho she had read the terms. Don't look like she bothered to read it.
Personally, If it goes over the £10 by a couple of pennies so be it but im not about to spend £50 on shopping only then to be told its £10 per transaction. If you go by the rules then its all good
My daughter's needs school clothes and pencils etc. for when they go back to school so this has saved me a few quid. Every little helps as Tesco say.
BTW in the SS its seems these scan and don't require a SV for authorisation under a £5.
I would be getting all my Christmas presents!
I am now pondering how long a round trip to Bristol/Slough would be ! And if I could make enough savings to cover my fuel0 -

I think it means he needs antibiotics. Some cranberry juice probably wouldn't go amiss either.
It's only a game

What were those things called that we all had on car wind screens in the 70s/early 80s? The coloured strip that went across the top of a car windscreen? and people had the names of the driver/passenger on themand can you still get them?
Someone I know is decorating a wedding car for an 'older' couple and would like one. They have asked me to helpLovely idea I think but I must be to young to remember what they're called
Think they were called Tinted Sun Visors. Either before my time or were too 'Essex' for me as never had one.
Must still be around somewhere.
Evening all
Still a day behind. Did manage to catch a quiche today. 3 rd one. I hope the vouchers have long dates on them.
Off to Bedford to see Dad tomorrow. He had to have more platelets tonight but was allowed home again. Next appointment tuesday.
Spoke to my sister and she said he was on good form today. He washed up and put shopping away. Also read the paper for the first time in a week.
He wasn't sure if he wanted me to stay at his house so will be staying with my sister. Got to allow him privacy if thats what he wants.
He has allowed us to get him a new mattress for his bed. Think hospital bed was comfier than his which finally made his mind up.
Personally I benefit from a good mattress so want him to do the same.
Its like the old saying of 'always buy the best shoes you can afford as your feet will thank you'. That doesnt really count now as everyone has more than one pair of shoes these days.
Ordered a sofa in the Next sale which arrives wednesday. Absolute Bargain at almost half the price. This is my constant quest to be able to sit comfortably.
I have sat on the ones in store and they always seem good so took a gamble. First time I have not bought a second hand sofa since 1985 when dad bought us one to make up for sisters wedding costing alot more than mine:j

Oh a sensible woman Louise:T:T:T My fuel costs, wherever Im going to buy stuff are always factored into what I'm actually saving. I see a lot of people saying their shopping cost xx and I do wonder if they consider all the travelling costs to go to shops/drive to collect things etc
