Marsh Finance

Options
Hi all,
My boyfriend has received a letter from Marsh Finance stating that his car will be repossessed?

He is extremely worried as his bank has confirmed that all payments are up to date.

He was unemployed for a time when arrears accrued! However a payment plan was put in place, there has been a couple of missed payments but he paid these as soon as his bank made him aware. He has received no letters from Marsh nor had any phone calls. He has being paying nearly double the contractual payment since the beginning of the year.

Can they just send out a letter confirming this, it's all a bit strange as the headed paper sent is a photocopy not an original document.

Can they repossess without a Court Order? Any advice greatly appreciated. He needs his car to travel to work, he has no savings so will be unable to buy a small run around, if he loses his car then he will lose his job. He cannot borrow money from anyone as his parents are in debt themselves.

Is the loan secured against the vehicle? You need to give more info about the actual type of finance deal.
How can his bank confirm that the payment are up to date? Only the finance co. can do that. All the bank do is send the money.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
