Nat West. Are they buying time?

Hi

I have received a letter from Nat West in response to my threat to take court action over recovering charges. They've informed me they're assessing my claim & anticipate they'll be in a position to respond within 6-7 WEEKS??? This seems like a long time to me. Or is it? I'm tempted to write to them to try to speed it along (as I suspect they're trying to buy time for some reason), or is this quite positive & should I await their next correspondence?

Many thanks

  • standard response to a letter. I believe this is an acknowledgement to your first letter. They will respond within THEIR timescale with charges no interest. The question is do you take them to court in YOUR timescale?
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
