Deadlines for reclaiming?

Firstly I apologise if this question has already been asked. I've had a look and couldn't find the answer to my question so here goes:
I started trying to reclaim 3000 pounds from Barclays in February. They've done the usual stalling tactics and in May they made me an offer which I politely refused and confirmed to them that I will therefore be taking them to court. The problem I have now is I need to save 120 pounds for the court fees which will take me through til mid August.
Can anyone foresee this causing a problem proceeding with my claim? I wondered if there might be some rule where you have a limited amount of time to complete your case?
While I'm here I do actually have another question! I had statements going back 4 years (charges = 20909 pounds) I estimated the total going back 6 years being 3138 pounds. They have not disputed this higher amount in their response to me. When I take them to court should I go for the amount for the 6 years estimate or just the 4 years which I know is 100% accurate?
Any help would be appreciated.

unless contract law, which is the basis of your claim, exempts bank accounts from it, then you have no time limit. There is some people who are going beyond the 6 year limitations act.
Personally i would get those additional statements for the two years you are missing. JMHO.0
