What about peak/off peak pricing for passport application and renewals? E.g. Summer time £120, Winter £60. Hopefully it will mean the level of staff can stay level throughout the year, and they don't have to draft in extra people for summer.

I would also like the time remaining on the old passport transferred across increased to one year. so I can time the renewal with full flexibility.

Please add into the story that the average 3 week processing time does not include the fact the passport office can have your application sitting in their office a postal sack for 2 weeks or more waiting to be processed onto their system.

Hubby posted his application off 13th June and wasn't inputted onto their system until 26th June. Passport finally arrived this morning.
