This is a nice recipe, not too obviously sausage-y

Last time I did it, I served it with toasted pita instead of crusty bread, it was delicious0 -
Jamie Oliver did a sausage ragu- fry the sausagemeat with onions, grated carrot and a tin of value tomatoes and use with your pasta- loosened with the cooking water of needed. Looked good and do-able so I did it and it's great!
I also use sausagemeat in a meatloaf, with minced beef or turkey, breadcrumbs and an egg or some milk- it's one of those things which can be eaten hot, warm or cold. They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0 -

Yes, freezer full to capacity
A friend of ours works for a well known food manufacturer and is in the lucky position to have a perk of his job where there is a very cheap staff shop. We have been stocking up whilst the going is good & feeling very lucky indeed to be able to do so
I am very unimaginative with meal times as it is, to be honest, and am trying to get out of the habit of cooking the same few meals over and over again (not just with sausages), but I do tend to cook similar meals each week. This thread has helped loads with that and am definately going to try quite a few of these suggestions xxThe opposite of what you know...is also true0 -
I like this recipe:

Still a sausage casserole but a bit more grown up and a change from the baked bean type. I've made it using bacon instead of the pancetta (or none) and leaving out the chorizo and it still tastes great. I use frozen leeks (from Farrmfoods) and serve with new/roast potatoes.
What about a simple toad in the hole? Or cook some and snack on them cold?0 -
I would make
- sausage pasta
- sausage plait
- sausage curry....... just skin the sausages first and form into balls add some diced cooked potato, peppers, onion, a tin of tomatoes and curry powder to taste
- sausage toad
- sausages with mushrooms in a mushroom sauce topped with a crumble topping or breadcrumbs and grated cheese
- cowboy stew (sausages, bacon and beans)
- sausage sarnies
- sausage rolls again skin the sausages first
- sausage fried rice
- sausage kebabs with apple, pepper, onion wedges and mushroom slices
- sausage pizza why not make it a full english one and add bacon, tomatoes and scrambled egg as toppings
6 sausages
1 onion, cut into wedges ( I prefer red onions)
1tbsp wholegrain mustard
1tbsp maple syrup or honey if you don't have any
2 eating apples, sliced
4-5 sage leaves
Heat the oven to gas 6, 200°C, fan 180°C. Put the sausages in a roasting tin along with the onion wedges. Roast for 20 minutes.
Mix together the mustard and maple syrup. Take the roasting tin out of the oven, add theapple and sage and pour over the syrup mixture.
Return to the oven and roast for a further 20 minutes, until the sausages are plump and golden. Serve with mash and buttered cabbage (shredded, boiled for 2 minutes, drained and then tossed in butter)Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Some thoughts on this.
A lot depends on skinning the sausageButterfly_Brain wrote: »I would make- sausage pasta - skin and make into meat balls; skin and use as "mince for a sort of bolognaise, cook and make a pasta bake with chopped sausages.
- sausage plait
- sausage curry....... just skin the sausages first and form into balls add some diced cooked potato, peppers, onion, a tin of tomatoes and curry powder to taste AKA Kofta curry
- sausage toad - just sausage, with onions and with raost veggies
- sausages with mushrooms in a mushroom sauce topped with a crumble topping or breadcrumbs and grated cheese
- cowboy stew (sausages, bacon and beans)
- sausage sarnies
- sausage rolls again skin the sausages first
- sausage fried rice
- sausage kebabs with apple, pepper, onion wedges and mushroom slices
- sausage pizza why not make it a full english one and add bacon, tomatoes and scrambled egg as toppings
- sausage and egg pie - line a pie plate with sausage meat, make dents in the sausage meat, break an egg into each dent, Cover with pastry and bake.
- sauerkraut and sausages if you like it
- Scotch eggs
try flavouring the suasage meat with different herbs and spices to add variety? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
I make up packet stuffing & always stir in a generous helping of sausage-meat. You can stuff whatever you fancy with it, whole chicken, thighs, rolled pork, lamb...0

I chop them into mouth size pieces and make curry in the slowcooker.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
