Gym fees problem

Think of it as your membership was on pause rather than cancelled. At any point you could have paid across the money that you thought you had already paid and used the gym. They weren't denying you access, they just required you paid for it first.
So now you can use it if you pay what you should have for the last 4 months. You've even got a discount now.
You're not paying for a cancelled membership, as it wasn't cancelled so you couldn't go, it was suspended until you paid. You're paying for a membership you chose not to use.0 -
Did you not consider keeping an eye on future payments after the first mess up? I would also be thinking about your 'commitment' to exercise if you had been possibly paying for all these months and the only service you had made an effort to attend was one yoga class...what a waste of money. The money would of been better spent on pet insurance.
Thanks for your helpful post. I have been very ill this year so cancelling my gym membership or checking bank statements for some reason werent a huge priority. I have pet insurance, which is a top end lifetime policy. In case you arent aware, Pet insurance policies do not pay out until perhaps two months after the claim. Which puts me out of pocket for the full amount of her operation until the insurers pay me back. Once again thanks for taking the time, now back to the actual question.0 -
Unholyangel and superhan. Thank you both for actually reading my problem and giving legitimate and informative answers. You have both really helped. Thanks so much0
