A friend of mine has a query relating to pre-marital assets and I was hoping some of you may be able to help. The story is that he has approx £100,000 in savings as well as a house now worth £200,000 mortgage free. He is due to get married in the next year or so and is wanting advice on how he can protect these assets if…

I know this is an old thread but I couldn't help adding.....

I completly agree with the whole not marrying someone you don't/can't trust but from a different angle you can never truly control someone else's freewill. If another person decided to cheat/leave/steal your money there's nothing you can do about it.

I'm sure we've all been in relationships where both parties have had complete trust but years down the line things have gone horribly wrong?
