Best 1 yr bond for mum?

I have Power of Attorney for my mum and am having trouble getting a 1yr bond for her. Kent Reliance won't accept on line applications for P of A clients and I live too far from a branch. I have managed to open one with FirstSave but need another with decent rates of interest. Probably one where I can go into the branch will be easiest. I live in NE England, Darlington is my closest biggish town. Any suggestions?
