Meeting the ESA descriptors is not the same as being unable to work.
You can seek, and even do permitted work while still being entitled to ESA.

For example, I can imagine in principle in some workplaces, an employee who loses bladder or bowel control once a week not being a problem.
Or one that can't raise either arm as if to put something in the top pocket of a jacket or coat.
Or even someone that can't swallow food or drink.

And yet any of these would entitle someone to the support group.

Well done for stating the obvious.

OP, Your OP suggests you are on ESA Conts

ESA Conts claimants can do fulltime courses even if they don't have DLA/PIP.

Your ESA IR will not be allowed on a fulltime course.

You can wait 12 weeks after your ESA Conts runs out and apply again for another possible 365 days of ESA Conts.

    What is your marital status?
    Do you have savings?
Why did you say it runs out in October?

Worth mentioning that you're in Scotland then, although I thought funding was for under 25s.

Managed to speak to both DWP and college, was told by dwp that I can get it if I get dla as mentioned here but even then its strict, secondly I phoned college who said the reason they do this is that it stops people continuing to get esa and getting a bursary they are not entitled to so they want me to fill in a college hardship form to cover me from when my benefits stops to I get college reassassment.
