Hiya all

Wilko have 40L of top soil for £5 - anyone used this before? £50 for 400L seems reasonable enough fr the quantity I need right now in the little bags - really don't want a bulk bag.

Thoughts? Reviews seem decent enough and it's never in bloody stock!!!

I bought 2 bags for £5 when it was on offer, its fine. I don't know what you are using it for but 40L doesn't go very far, I ended up using it differently to how I had originally planned because of this.

    Thanks Cordie.

I'm looking at mixing it with compost and putting it in raised beds for veg next year. Just wondered if it was well screened I suppose.

Yes figure I'll need a few but don't want to fuss with getting a ton delivered in a bulk bag!

Just to add I was surprised that it was more like the consistency of a compost than ordinary garden soil, it was much lighter than I was expecting it to be. If transport is no problem for you I would buy a small amount first to see if it is suitable for you.
