Co-Op Energy sent a £1k bill a year late!
I just got a demand letter from the co-op today for about £1100 for energy, I just checked my records and we left the co-op in July 2013 and moved to iSupplyEnergy.
Just looking for some suggestions on what to do, I've emailed the Co-op to complain but not sure what else to do!?

Do exactly as you would with anyone else that is chasing an illegitimate debt-inform them you have no intention of paying and to set a date at your nearest County Court if they intend to pursue it.
That's all assuming, of course, that the debt is illegitimate.0 -
Is the bill(demand letter) for energy consumption for the period prior to July 2013 when you left Co-op?
The end meter readings on the Co-op bill should be exactly the same as the Start meter readings with iSupplyEnergy.
You have firstly to establish if it is a valid bill from Co-op.0 -
I've just found out they haven't charged me since Feb. Also their web page has been down - what is going on? Worried about how this company can stay in business.0

If you haven't paid since February then you have to pay for the energy used. You did save up the money right?
You should provide co-op with the start readings of your new supplier so they can give you an accurate final bill to the day you left.0
