First Utility 3 yr fixed rates

We joined FU from SP in May this year, paying £99 dd monthly for gas and elec for the next year. They have emailed me offering to go into a fixed rate until 2017 with a monthly dd of £153. This offer ends on the 31st of this month. Have no idea if this is likely to be a good deal or not. We had a woodburner installed last Sept and due to the mild winter didn't put the gas central heating on. Would welcome anyones thoughts.

Unless you ignore the instalment size and do some sums with your likely usage you won't get much useful help.

Dig out the actual name of your current fix (or not fixed tariff) and throw it with your likely usage in a comparison site. See how the 2017 fix compares with their Oct 2016 fix and your current tariff (and tariffs from everyone else).
