Where should I begin? (New shared account)

Hello everyone.
First time poster here.
I was just looking for some pointers or if there are any documents already around about current accounts.
I would like to open a shared account with my partner (we do not live together), and it would primarily be used to save up money for a deposit on a house/flat in the future, with the occasional spend on joint shopping etc.
I'm not even sure where to begin really, what with the vast amount of accounts we could go for.
I wondered if anyone has any ideas, or could point me in the right direction of how to begin comparing all the deals? I am happy to answer questions is that makes things easier
Thanks

The correct word is 'joint'.
MSE articles: Top Savings Accounts
I think most, if not all, savings/current accounts can be joint.
If it is a joint current account, beware that having it or even applying for it creates a link between your credit files that can negatively affect the one with a better credit history.0
