Anyone else absolutely hate First Direct's mobile app and online banking?

It's SO bad. Gross.

    I don't 'hate' it.

Online banking is out-dated; but their app is alright; they've recently updated it on both the iPhone and iPad.

It does the job so I'm satisfied with it.

Tesco Bank has the best mobile app, in my opinion.

  • I'm fine with it as long as it does the job.
I do most my banking needs on the computer so it doesn't bother me at all though.

The online banking isn't the sexiest but it is certainly possible to do what you need to do with a current account through it. I have only used the app to generate a code for a new payee, so don't know whether I'd like the rest of it.

The main reason I would never use FD for my 'main' current account is that they pay no interest for credit balances. Not much else that would draw me to FD, either, but I do like their Regular Saver account.

Haven't tried their mobile app, don't like Tesco's web interface, prefer first direct for online. It does all I need.

The mobile app isn't the worst out there, but it's not great. The interface is kind of laggy on my iPhone 5S - I press on something and it usually takes about half a second to react. Something I've not experienced with other mobile banking apps.

Don't use the mobile banking app, but do like the website. Easy to use straight forward vey clear. Some other banks the screens are too fussy. Use Halifax, Barclaycard, Capital one and TSB sites as well, prefer First Direct to all the others its a lot easier on the eyes.

It does everything I need it to do. I can't ask much more than that.

Only very recently opened a FD 1st Account (for switching bonus and access to Regular Saver). Website seems a bit basic, but iPhone app is fine.

Opened Regular Saver on Sunday but it still hasn't appeared online and money is still sitting in 1st Account, which is a little odd :(

I really don't like it! Natwest is my favourite by far.
