Gatwick Airport- Statistics with airlines with worst flight delays

Is there a web site anywhere that shows which airlines have the worst and best records for flight delays. My hunch is that Monarch will be near the top for the worst records and EasyJet will be near the top for the best records. Any information on relevant web site please.

A very useful tool. It would appear that the charter airlines have a worse record for delays than both the Low cost airlines and the the main schedule airlines. Has anyone suffered long delays when flying with Norweigan air who appear to be a growing force in the market for flights from Gatwick airport0

Norwegian short haul are excellent, most passengers say they are far better than any charter carrier operating out of LGW but long haul is another matter altogether. Allegedly three of the 7 flights had delays of more than 40 hours last week, certainly the Wednesday return from LAX was delayed almost 48 hours, no hotels provided and US news reports show complete chaos at the airport. It seems they are trying to operate 7 long haul flights with a single plane, probably the most unreliable type flying and with no margin for delays. 'You pays your money and takes your chance'0

All airlines have delay problems at times.
The reason the stats might show charter carriers as having longer delays than 'low cost' carriers like Easyjet and Ryanair, is that the charter operators will still be forced to operate their delayed service. Someone like Easyjet will just cancel the flight and look to rebook or refund customers.
Friends returned from Malaga to Gatwick with Easyjet on Monday. They were due to fly on Sunday but Easyjet just cancelled the flight after service disruptions earlier Sunday morning would have lead to a long delay. Easyjet contacted them to offer a refund or rebook. They rebooked on the flight 24hrs later. As it happens that flight was then delayed another 2 hrs. Easyjet would not show Sunday's flight as delayed - as it was cancelled. Had TOM/TCX or similar had the same problem the flight would have operated but with a heavy delay.
Bottom line is, like all statistics, you can read what you want from them. I wouldn't book on a low cost airline over a charter just because the statistics show charter carriers have longer delays.0 -
The frustrating thing about Gatwick is that arrivals is just so unpredictable. A couple of months ago it took 45 mins to get through security and another 45 for the bags to arrive. Yet, 2 weeks ago I walked straight through passport control as there was no queue at all and the bags were there within 10 minutes.0

What classes as "ontime". Often wondered this. If a flight is scheduled frr say 9pm does that mean to be ontime it has to be in the air by 9pm, or taxing to the runway?0 -
On time departure normally means leaving the gate area within 15 minutes of the scheduled time of departure. Once it is under control of ATC for departure, there can be all sorts of delays that are outside the airline's control particularly at LGW where there is only one runway for both departures and arrivals.0

Is there something more up-to-date?

And Norwegian is hard to find. We're on a Norwegian charter soon. I wonder if this will be classed as 'scheduled' (similar timings for scheduled flights on the same route on other days) or 'charter'.0 -
Norwegian have been chartered by Thomsons, they have one dedicated plane and it runs perfectly. The luggage as we all know at Gatwick is a different matter altogether. Everyone who I know who has flown the charter said it was much better than Thomson's own service0
