LBC "Help program" on parking today 14.00

Never have I heard such misinformation for the twerp who hosts the programme and a number of contributors who phoned in.

Such gems as "I had a number of tickets from Parking Eye and ignored them. They wrote me a few letters and gave up, so that's my advice"

The are acting illegally.

In general, the whole tone was that the PPCs were all sending out tickets that are unenforceable, so ignore.

Where do they get these uninformed idiots and non-researchers who supposedly give the info for the programmes?

And, of course, I couldn't get them to take my call on the air when I said their bod was giving out dangerous and incorrect information!

Is this the same show as commented on here GD?
Iain Dale on the LBC 4 - 7 O'clock show also picked up on this and it was the subject of his phone-in for an hour.

By the end he was sounding pretty outraged at some of the tactics used by the PPCs and he said he was going to make it a personal campaign to try and change it. He also promised to get the transport Minister into the studio for an interview

Yes, that's the one. Such a pity as the guy was on the right side, but very uninformed and his callers were not helpful to what we are advising here.

It might be a PPC sponsored the show? Or PPC employees called in to make false claims/

    Evidence, or conspiracy theory?

  • Iain Dale is very far from being a twerp. He covers 5 or 6 subjects on each show and you can't really expect him to become as well informed on this quite complex issue as some of you guys.

Some of the muppets who were phoning in though...

His last last word on this subject was to advise anyone getting a ticket to go onto this website for advice.

Did you actually listen to it?

No? Get back in your tin foil lined bedroom then.

I missed the very end of the broadcast as I had had enough by then. This was the first time I encountered Ian Dale and I do find it totally wrong that a programme can not research topics properly before putting them on the air.

If the programme was simply people phoning in and spouting, then that is one thing, but when the presenter does not challenge statements and seems to encourage the misconceptions, then that gets my goal.

It all came over as very amateurish.

All good publicity for the cause. As I said on another meeja report thread, if everyone ignored the racket would be dead in days.
