windows live mail issue

Trying to be brief :
1) I lost all my windows live emails (1000's of emails) due to a power cut including email folder tree
2) I found some files in my recycle bin including Mail.MSMessageStore
- I restored this
3) Restoring this brought back my email directory structure with all my folders & email headers BUT no email contents - I suspect the links were destroyed when I started up WLM after the power cut as it spent ages 'cleaning up'
Assuming all the .eml files exist and have not been deleted is there any way to restore the email contents ?
Also I have a backup from 2 weeks ago so I can revert back to this & try to figure out what recent emails I have lost by looking at what I have from 3)
Is there anyway I can open up both the backup & what I have from 3) ?
