Yes I know it sounds obvious Yorkshireboy but instead of me clicking all over the place and then perhaps still missing the better credit card, I thought I'd put it out to the expertise here. I'm not bothered what type of reward I get as long as it's somthing as I'm getting nothing with the HSBC. Thanks wammer for your reply this was the sort of answer I was looking for.0

The Halifax card mentioned is the Clarity Reward variant. It requires you to jump through a few hoops in order to obtain £5 a month, specifically hold and fund a Halifax current account, switch to them, or take their fee-paying current account. The 1% Capital One World card mentioned doesn't appear to be available to new customers, according to their website.0
