Vanquis belong to Provident Financial. I don't think that they do any other credit cards.

For other cards see MSE article: Bad-credit Credit Cards and try MSE's eligibility checker first.

I think for some cards you can apply in a branch. Many offer "Deaf helpline/Typetalk", but I don't know if it can be used for applications.

We had a very similar case on here within the last month - it would seem Vanquis insist on speaking to the applicant by phone or it's a decline. Seems crazy this day and age what with DDA etc.

Capital One may be another option.

To be honest, other than Vanquis, I've never been phoned by any credit card company following an application - and that must be over 30 credit cards in the last twenty years.

It is possible I guess that a company may phone if they want to clarify some application details etc. but they normally have procedures for helping those with disabilities. Even banks accept that the world doesn't revolve around call centres and automation 100% of the time.

Bad credit card help? Max it out and don't make any repayments.
