Looking for Verbal / Non-Verbal Reasoning exam practice papers.

So many out there, unsure which ones are value for money and which ones are just fake.

Any ideas?

There is a forum on 11+ exams website, it is split by area, they will be able to give advice for your specific area of the country.

I just want to wish you good luck. DD going into year 7 in sept, so behind me for now (DS is only 3 so who knows!) but jeepers. 11+ prep will possibly haunt me forever :rotfl:

If I can remember the name of the ones we had I'll post. We had loads, but the practice papers that ramp up the levels were the best.

Also, NVR has been dropped from a lot of tests round here for entrance (Kent) so do double check you need it

We are moving into the Grammar Catchment area, so may well have an attempt at the 11+ exam for entry.

The local school uses VR and NVR, however the question was about what exam papers to run with, as so many are out there. I know they are not GL, but think they were NFER questions.

    But..i cant find a NFER paper..or books

In DD's school, NFER tests were done in year 4, 5 (and 6 but for other reasons) to see aptitude for 11+, I do not think I have ever seen an NFER paper outside the school.

We used these as recommended by teachers and parents who had been through it-

(Obviously just choosing the right age for the child)

    Thanks,

Were going through the "Why do I have to go to a Grammar School..All my friends are going to the Academy" phase of protests.

That's a bit difficult, so good luck with explaining that academy is merely the latest fashionable word for comprehensive. Any child can get into one of those, but grammars are more selective about which pupils they accept. It's a bit like the difference between intake for the Royal Marines and intake for vanilla infantry regiment.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

    I've been Money Tipped!
Stick to your guns! We moved into a grammar school catchment area deliberately in 1989, and it paid off. Before the usual anti grammar posters appear, my sons would not have done as well in a comprehensive school because they both did the minimum of work. Surrounded by motivated boys certainly rubbed off on them in a positive way.
