Solutions to no draining board?

In May I moved to a house with a lovely kitchen, nicest and biggest I have had In a rented property. However, I think they overlooked a basic essential of a draining board.
At the moment, I use a mat under the drainer and a cloth under where the cloth tidy is; but this isn't really the best idea. I have noticed where the tap is and cloth tidy the worktop is starting to bubble. Not sure because of me or previous tenants with the water hitting the worktop or being damp.
Years ago when I needed extra drainer space, I managed to get a plastic one from Betterware. Any ideas though for around the tap area???
Thanks in advance.

I've got one of these

It looks quite funky and you can fit a reasonable bit of stuff in it (although I have a dishwasher too, so you might find it's not big enough if there are lots of you). You can 'seal' the spout too if you can't easily place it next to the sink0 -
I have a stainless steel one I got from lakeland around 7 years ago now - it holds loads and sits on its own stainless steel tray. I dont know if they still do them but it was a bit pricey but very good quality."'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life

I had a look at Lakeland but its not the drainer need, but just a board really to go underneath.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £135.49/150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. That looks fabulous but think would be too small, as there are three of us and I love cooking ... so lots of pots some days.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £135.49/150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Never thought of this. Will try and keep an eye out next time I am passing one if not sorted beforehand.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £135.49/150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month.
