Travelodge cancellation policy

I will be booking a flexible room for 3 nights at a Travelodge hotel in London in August but may need to cancel depending on a health situation. I checked their t&cs to read their rules and am not 100% sure about this.
Does point 2 say that I can reclaim all 3 nights as long as I call the hotel directly before noon of the day of arrival?
Here is the relevant section

- For flexible room rates only, you may cancel a Booking and we will not charge you for the first night if you notify us before midday on your scheduled date of arrival.
- For flexible room rates only, if you have a Booking for more than 1 night you may cancel or shorten your booking after the scheduled date of arrival and we will refund you for any remaining nights. We will not pay a refund for any night for which notification is received after midday. Notification must be made directly with the Hotel you are staying at, prior to noon of the day(s) you wish to cancel."

I'm not sure that the particular reference you need is point 2 (as this seems to be saying that on a flexible booking of more than one day you can cut short your stay after you've arrived and get a refund for the days you don't use providing you let the hote l know before noon on the day you checkout).
But I can confirm that you'll get a full refund if you cancel a flexible booking before noon on the day of arrival. In my experience you don't even need to contact the hotel itself - if you book online, you can also cancel online later.
Note that even for flexible bookings, Travelodge take the money from your card at the time of booking and refund it when you cancel. (There are other chains (e.g. Holiday Inn) where on a flexible booking they won't take the money until the first night of your stay.)0 -
I have just had another look at point 2 and I think you are correct p00hsticks. I will be allowed to cancel all 3 nights in one go as long as it is before the noon deadline of the 1st day.
Thanks also for the Holiday Inn suggestion as I had only thought to search Premier Inn and travelodge with both seemingly running out of rooms near the Neasden area next month.
Finally are there anyways to get discounts or cashbacks when booking with these budget hotels(apart from the promos they sometimes do offering sale prices for rooms)?0 -

I'm not aware of any at present, i'm afraid.
Any discounted rates they may offer (and both Travelodge and Premier Inn have regular savers rates available all the time, not just at sale periods) usually have non-flexible terms - so are probably not going to be suitable for you if you think you may need to cancel.
Travelodge used to occasionally mail codes for 10% off of flexible bookings, but I've not seen such a mail for a while now.0 -

When I book Travelodge online, I use TCB and buy the SAVER room price. I got £2.50 back last time on a £25 room.
I don't have any experience of cancelling a standard room, although my mum cancelled at 10am on the day of her stay and she got fully refunded.0 -
AS I want a lot of flexibility I won't be booking saver rooms so I guess I'll be paying full whack. If it means I can cancel for a refund then it will be worth it.
Thanks for all the replies everyone, it has made me feel more positive about my booking.0
