deposit for new windows on credit card

apologies if this is not in the correct place
my mother in law has spent £7200 pound on new windows in nov 2013, she paid £1400 deposit on credit card and balance by draft
the windows and doors are giving lots of problems parts falling off and doors are catching,
the company say they are bankrupt but answer phone if you still want to order windows. citizens advice say they cant see any evidence to say the company is bankrupt.
is there an y way to get credit card company invlolved to help the mother in law ?
