what's cheaper gas or microwave cooking?
Hi, i was cooking some fish yesterday and ran out of time so did it in the microwave but it crossed my mind, would i be using less money using electricity to run the microwave for a few minutes or boil the fish up on the gas hob for longer? May change the way i cook forever!

Microwave is much cheaper than cooking with gas.
Even though electricity costs approx 3 times more than gas, it is much quicker and you are not wasting heat by heating water/pans etc.
Most microwaves are between 600 to 800 watts so even on full power cost about 5p to 6p an hour to run.0
