The £500 monthly funding can this be an in/out transfer from another current account?
Do the two dd's have to be "live" and not have to be household expenses ie nominal payments to Tesco accounts?

    * Although I'm not sure what you mean by "live", but just to be clear they don't have to pay out each and every month.

    £500 monthly funding can be from another account, but NOT from another Santander account in your name. It can go out again immediately.

    DDs have to be active, in other words capable of being paid. Many will lapse if unpaid for 12 or 13 months though. The don't have to be paid every month, and Tesco accounts are fine. However, DDs for things like council tax, water, phone etc will attract cashback which can more than cover the £2 monthly account fee :)
