CB JSA and travel costs

I receive contribution based JSA although only for the next 4 weeks as it's stopped after 26 weeks. The job Centre are telling me to sign on weekly, I am disabled, cannot walk and am an ambulatory oxygen user, I have made a recent successful PIP claim at enhanced rate mobility. I will not be allowed any means tested benefit.
The JC are insisting I go weekly now - can I claim travel expenses for this extra appointment? Thank you. If the answer is yes I can, will I be able to also claim travel expenses for the extra signing on day if I sign on to receive NI credits only after my JSA is stopped?
Thanks.

why are you claiming JSA instead of ESA?
ig you are on oxygen. is getting a job likely?
i would suggest that ESA is far more appropriate to your circumstances.
you should get a 'fitnote' from your GP and put a claim in fior ESA

You are eligble for no expenses to attend on your actual signing day regrdless of CB or IB JSA. Do you not qualify for IB JSA?
You can claim expenses for any other attendance so technically if you attend weekly they will pay your expenses for the extra attendance.
Are you fit and able to work?0 -

I cannot get ESA contribution based as I earned 9000 in the relevant tax years but this was split into 3 jobs and each job was under the NI threshold and so I haven't paid enough NI to get CB ESA. I get CB JSA because one of the relevant years was different this runs out in 3 weeks so I will sign for NI credits only.
I cannot get income based benefits.Master Apothecary Faranell replied, “I assure you, overseer, the Royal Apothecary Society dearly wishes to make up for the tragic misguidance which ended so many lives. We will cause you no trouble. We seek only to continue our research in peace".0 -

I will not get IB anything but I am glad JC will have to pay my expenses for an attendance that isn't my normal day. I am going to assume this will be the case when I sign for credits only. In specific answer to your question I am not fit and able to work but fully comply with JC requirements for my allowance - I do not have any problem with doing this for the money for the 26 weeks I'm allowed it.Master Apothecary Faranell replied, “I assure you, overseer, the Royal Apothecary Society dearly wishes to make up for the tragic misguidance which ended so many lives. if you were entitled to conts based JSA you would have been entitled to conys based ESA ... the NI requirements are the same.
the difference being you would have been entitled to 1 years benefit if placed in the work related group or indefinately if placed in the support group.
you really need to look into this urgently

Yes it will be the case when you sign for your C only. Im a bit confused though. If you are not able or fit to work how are you managing to satisfy JCP requirements? Can I presume you are fit for part time work and have a restricted claimant commitment?
Please consider that ESA may also be an option as has already been suggested.0 -

There are plenty of jobs that someone on ambulatory oxygen can do, although the op may not be fit enough for other reasons. Whether they would be offered a job isn't a reason to claim ESA.0 -

Although correct unfortunately this isn't the case with me. I first claimed CB JSA in March. By the time I realised I could've claimed CB ESA in June it was too late as the CB requirements for one of the relevant tax years for this ESA claim was different to the CB JSA claim. Although I earned 9000 in the relevant tax year 12/13 it was over 3 jobs and so don't meet the NI requirements for that one of the two years for CB ESA. I blame myself for not looking into benefits law in my 35 years of employment and because of my stupidity I cannot get benefit other than the 26 weeks of CB JSA.Master Apothecary Faranell replied, “I assure you, overseer, the Royal Apothecary Society dearly wishes to make up for the tragic misguidance which ended so many lives. I can easily satisfy my JSA agreement as it basically involves going on universal job match 5 days a week - I can do that fairly easily. I don't have a restrictive claimant commitment. I have attended (with help) the couple of courses they made me do. I am aware that this is sort of playing the system but after working for 35 years and only being allowed a few weeks (26) JSA I feel entitled - rightly or wrongly. I shall probably sign for my NI credit only but haven't fully decided yet as I don't know if I want the hassle.Master Apothecary Faranell replied, “I assure you, overseer, the Royal Apothecary Society dearly wishes to make up for the tragic misguidance which ended so many lives. You are within your right to have health restriction placed on your commitment which limit the hours, jobs and travel if appropriate. This is all obviously a little too late now but you have to behonest, you sign a document every two weeks to say you are available for work as well as actively seeking. Are you saying you do not want to return to any work?
You will have to do exactly the same regardless of whether or not you actually get any benefit so it may not be worth the hassle but this is your decision. You can claim ESA C (credits) too.0
