Child Tax Credit payments if child moves out?

I have three children - 16, 14, 12. The middle one is thinking of moving in with her dad. At the moment I am claiming Child Tax Credits and Working Tax Credits. If she does move out, will this affect the amount of Child Tax Credits I am being paid?

You will lose her share and her dad can claim for her instead I think.0

Dad will be able to claim the child benefit and can may be able to receive child tax credits depending on his household income
you can run one of the benefits calculators to see the impact of changing from claiming for 3 children to 20 -
If it's just a trial to see if she's happy there, you could agree to pay her father the benefits you are receiving for her for a month or two until she's settled. It will save changing things twice if she decides to come back to you.
If he is paying child maintenance, that will change and, once he is getting the CB for her, you will be expected to pay CM to him.0
