Hi All
Have noticed that I have a direct debit leaving my account every month for £4 .... Not a CLUE what it is!!?
The direct debit is called "AVON INSCE 11 A/C" ..... Does anyone have any idea what this might be for or when I may have agreed to it unknowingly lol?!?! God knows how long it has been going out for - they have probably have loads of my money

Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

Rather than worrying about a deity knowing about it, why don't you check your statements (paper or online) so that you will know how long it's been happening?0 -
It appears from the name to be an insurance..
Speak to your provider - A) it may be set up under a different name and the 'real name' will make sensethey can search for a DD originator via the Originators ID which is listed on their system giving company name and address. C) there's often a 'DD mandate' I.e. a signed form in relation to the DD
Worst case scenario, DDs are covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee.. because of the limited control the banks have, any issues with DDs can be resolved quickly and the money can be pulled back into the account - this is known as a Direct Debit indemnity..
Avon Insurance is often the name used by 'Budget Insurance'
Usually this is from a Car Insurance policy (often an old long cancelled one) where there was a 'tickbox' saying free breakdown cover (or something similar) but after 6-12 £4 will be debited monthly from your account..
Can't guarantee it.. but I believe this is their number - 01789 415 0500
