Had the same sort of issues with the AA. Did you try phoning their sales line? Bet that one answers immediately!

Result !!! After RAC writing numerous letters to me (+ phone calls which I ignored) since July demanding payment of forty quid and me refusing to pay out of principle, and then setting CARS, their debt collectors on me, I eventually went to the Financial Ombudsman two weeks ago, and told them so, and why, yet again.
Today, just before I was due to reply with evidence to the Financial Ombudsman, I received a letter from RAC stating that they had again reviewed my case and were giving me a goodwill payment of forty quid !!!! :j:D :T0 -
All of which could have been avoided if you had simply written to RAC and cancelled your insurance in the first place. The cost of your "result" now has to be borne by other RAC customers.0

Nonsense. The RAC isn't really a club, it's a profitable company. Would you say that if I signed up for the RAC that the "benefit" of this would be enjoyed by other RAC customers?0 -
No, because I don't understand the point you're trying to make.
Nobody apart from you has claimed that the RAC is a club.0
