Good Morning everyone, it's a bit cooler here today and we have overcast skies at the moment so much more comfy to work in. I'm going to give the floors a wash in a minute, they seem to be grim again very quickly after washing as it's so dusty and we're in and out of the garden and also the dog is too so bring back dust on shoes. DD and SIL have just gone to visit a friend and then on to my brother and Sil and I'm making an indian shepherds pie for lunch with spices in the meat and a topping of mashed sweet potato along with some fresh picked steamed veg from the garden and then a lovely really ripe pineapple for pud, yummy. They will leave mid afternoon and I'll get some washing sorted for the morning but I'm having the rest of the day off, I've a good book I want to read so easy supper and early night in order I feel!!!
Hope you're not feeling to grim MOLLY and wish you a speedy recovery from your hospital stay, look after yourself love.
All of you who teach, please have a rest this summer holidays, you really NEED one!!!
Have a lovely day all, Lyn xxx.0 -

I bought a really good book off Amazon which has grabbed my attention for long periods today:
The New English Kitchen. Changing the way you shop, cook and eat by Rose Prince.
I saw it recommended on an old thread on here and it really is very good.

Evening all,
Have had a busy few days, DD2 and her girls arrived very early on Thursday, DD1 on Friday and DS 2 later, so Friday was a late night.......DD4 and DGS2 had arrived at some time. DS2 left late morning to go to a wedding in Meath, back to London this morning, to Germany in the morning for work, thence to Doncaster for 2 days and then on Friday to Thailand to celebrate his 40th on 5th August....he exhausts me just telling me about his travels! The others have all left now, poor DD2 had a blowout 40 km from her North Kerry destination, luckily she had only turned off the motorway and was going very slowly, but she got a huge fright, especially as hire car emergency service told her that it was unlikely that they could get anyone to her,a passing motorist changed the wheel for her and she travelled on safely.
Have been resting since the hordes departed, going to do a bit of knitting as my ' stock' of baby knitting hasbeen emptied this week, so I need to get at least a cream jacket made so that I wont be caught napping!
We have had a little rain but not enough to really do much for the garden.....we have neverhad topay for water in Ireland, charges are being introduced in October, we need to get a couple of water butts to collect from gutters. We do have a private well and pump, but the water is very hard so have had a public connection for the last 20 years.
Stay safe all and sleep well, hugs to everybody in need or want of one

Good evening all,
been a busy day here today, and yesterday if im honest. We have decided to edge the garden with a 6inch boeder od small stones (well was going to be 6 inches now it ore like 10inches lol mans measure)
well we started at 11 this morning and have managed half of what we planned as the ground was so hard and full of thick stumps from old plants that needed to come out.
Dinner tonight was meatloaf and there is enough there for lunch tomorrow.
Our little dog has a weepy eye so washed it this morning and it seems a little better so will wash it again tonight and see how he is in the morning.
Washing all done and ironed and put away so just sitting here now chilling before bed.
anyhoo hugs to all in need xBright Blessings xx0 -
Evening all,
Hope you have all had a lovely Sunday. Went to see in laws this morning, then came back and mowed the lawn. I burnt the lawn mower out. It just got overheated. Made me laugh as our bit of lawn is only about 8ft square, if that!
Judi - Lovely photos
Right I'm keeping it short and sweet as I am about to watch the Red Arrows programme.0
