I'm just posting this here as a warning to anyone who may be searching for the above website.

I haven't used the service, however, it seems fairly obvious that this is a scam site.

I currently have my car advertised on the main Autotrader website. I today received a text offering me near to my asking price if I agree to sell the car today, which then directed me to the website.

The site itself claims to be buying cars from Autotrader, which they then sell on via a finance deal for a profit, sounds plausible.

Dig deeper though and you will find that this website is registered in Panama (I was going to post a link to a who-is website but it won't let me, but if you want to check go to whois.domaintools.com and type the website address) and is actually only 4 days old.

Intrigued to find out more, I put my reference number into their website and accepted their deal. They ask when they can pick up the car and from what address, all fine. Now the catch, they want a £75 fee for the booking (discounted from the usual £150 - how generous!), to make sure that you are in, which is refundable on the completion of the sale. To make the payment, please go to your local Pay Point and send your money to Panama, where you will never see it again, and then no one will turn up to buy the car at the allotted time.

It seems like most people will not fall for this but I thought I would post this here in case anyone is thinking about using this 'service'...

I'd love to know how much, if any, money these scams generate. It looks like the costs to set up must be minimal.
