Yes and when you think about it it has to be some gap and regardless of whether it is leaking around the DG unit, the sash or the wall to frame, all 3 have 2 seals one internal and 1 external.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

the op doesnt mention the wind blowing in simply howling this as i say can be caused by loose sealant or even a piece of the film barrier left on flapping could cause what can be described as whistling /howling. External beading could mean architraves or the beads holding the glazing in . We have known this to happen when windows are fitted near tie hanging or cladding and lead flashings have fallen offif you think peoples advice is helpfull please take the time to clicking the thank you button it gives great satisfaction0 -
Can confirm there are no draughts, and the windows don't leak or suffer from condensation. They just howl. The swarm of bees doing bagpipe practice description is perfect.
You've convinced my it's worth getting someone in to have a look at it. No point if it was going to cost a fortune.
Thanks. No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -

Thanks.
That's surprising, using your analogy bagpipes are a wind instrument if you get my drift?
Fairy liquid/water mix applied by paint brush around the DG units, sashes and then if it won't damage paint/wall paper, around the frame.
Pick a day when the wind is right and the noise is worst.;);)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
