I got an HP wireless printer from Tesco's (not sure of the model at moment, but something like a 5250). After first install it was fine for a few weeks, then started having loads of trouble with it not printing wirelessly. I assumed it was cos of a windows update, as the timing fitted . Fortunately, managed to work out that it was the router that was the problem, intermittent wireless network dropping causing issues. Anyway, got a new router from my IP, and was about to be annoyed that it hadn't sorted the problem, when I realised I hadn't linked it to the new router. Long story shorter, its now working fine no probs. Good printer/scanner/copier, but it may be that there is a workgroup/home network issue for you (if you've just moved house) as previously mentioned as opposed to some major failing of the printer. IMO try rebuilding your home network, or follow Grumpys sound advice.

OP you still haven't told us whether you are running 32 or 64 bit version of W8.1? See post 3.
Without this, no-one can point you to the download link for the correct drivers.
Why are you trying to install the drivers on the original disk, since these presumably are either W8 or W7 and so won't work?
You need to find the correct W8.1 drivers, download and install them from the Epson site.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
