Have you tried Poundland? They had some great kid's water bottles (insulated) when I was there last week.

Poundland do a pack of two water bottles - one green and one blue - with something like being this cool is thirsty work on the blue one and an army camoflage print on the green one. They've lasted 3 months and dont leak for me.
(they aslo do a pink./purple combo).
My bys have always used cliplock boxes carried in an insulated zippy bag. Pound shop had character ones a few months ago. My advice is stock up.
As from September mine will have free lunches so no need for any of this now.

Thank you, the one thing that I hadn't anticipated (stupid, as I am a teacher, albeit with an older age group) is that the theme is 'stock up' as they will get lost. So thank you for that bit of advice too!

I have 3 kids - they all have insulated lunch boxes (essential in the hotter months) schools do not place lunch boxes into refrigeration.
As for for food containers I use any plastic box from those plastic takeaway containers to ice cream boxes .... why spend money on storage boxes.
Sometimes have just wrapped a sandwich in foil and then into the insulated lunch box.
Also make sure the bottle you get fits into the lunch box.

Thank you for your advice, I appreciate it. Have just found out that the water bottle is to be kept on the side of the classroom and any snacks are to be kept in his drawer, not lunch bags as these are not accessible at break time and so ideally a small insulated bag / box would be great.

Many thanks once again for your help!

I got this in home bargains the other day for £1.

One sturdy and well made box (sorry can't find a single container picture). Not sure if that is what you wanted.

Thank you, that is very kind of you and a good bargain as it looks as if I will be getting through quite a lot!
