    Will it be the same?

sorry I got her se hrs wrong, she actually works far more hours. More than 30 hrs in fact including everything, but tax credits said because the business is not in profit this first year it will be classed as working only 24hrs wk.

They said we could try to prove the 30hrs to get the 30hr element but we dont know how, in the end she just says ok call it 24hrs even though its more than that.

Its her first year of self employment, and no profit yet. She earns very little in her job 2days wk, 16hrs and at the moment still hasnt made a profit in her s.e. but its looking good for the future her business, its just the first year there were lots of expenses.

Do you know from who? Was it their compliance dept?

I dont remember, but it said unless you can prove you are working the 30hrs you claim then it will be classed as only 24 because of the little profit coming in.
  • how can you prove number of hrs worked in s.e? do you count all paper work and getting things prepared?
  • Our letter says you can stay on ML for 52weeks but only get paid 36weeks.

Will we still get working tax credit for the 52weeks or just the 36weeks?
  • https://www.gov.uk/working-tax-credit/further-information - 39 weeks WTC gets paid when on ML.
