It wasn't calm for long! As DD gets more relaxed, more of her thoughts and feelings, and her memories, come out. It's very very tough, but positive.
She's champing at the bit to start school, but due to logistics (getting social workers and education professionals together in the same place on the same day) we have to wait another 3 weeks, which isn't ideal. We haven't had anything official but I've got uniform ready anyway!Mortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%

Welcome to parenthood. It's like starting a new job and not having a clue what to do. Learning curve and all that! You'll do great! I had no idea when I was a kid that all the parents out there are just winging it and trying their best! lol
Enjoy:0)
It's quite similar to when I was teacher training! Act confident, even if you don't feel it! My teacher look comes in handy at times too.Mortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%

Thank you so much everyone for your lovely messages. It really does mean a lot. I actually wrote a big long message yesterday but the site was playing up.
Let's see what I can remember...
My Mum kindly bought some uniform for DD (she refused to take any money!)
MIL has offered to get us a National Trust pass for Christmas, which will be great.
Yesterday we treated ourselves to a very expensive little cafe with a soft play bit so for the first time in 2 months we sat and had a drink just the two of us (well, for 5 minutes or so...:rotfl:). It was only a tenner though altogether and definitely worth it.
I am so far behind now with Christmas, i.e. I haven't bought anything. I should be ordering stuff now really whilst I have a chance but my brain isn't working.
I got an okay wage this month so I must have had a few weeks at 90%. The child benefit has also been paid.
I am soooooo tired! Last night I got a trapped nerve in my shoulder and literally didn't sleep at all. It's sod's law that whenever DD sleeps well, I wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep. If I'm comatose you can guarantee a 5am "Mummy!".
I've been eating so much fat and sugar recently but the scales say I haven't put any weight on, so I'm not going to worry about it. DD did find my stash of chocolate though and I had to act all brazen and say Mummys are allowed to eat what they like. :rotfl: Luckily she isn't madly into chocolate.Mortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%

Don't fret about Christmas - that's the beauty of online - you could do it in an evening!
I read somewhere today that Christmas isn't about what's under the tree, but who is around it! So true. One of the reasons we are having a much quieter Christmas in terms of presents and spending this year!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

I've been trying to sneak a few yougov surveys in here and there this week. Up to £47.25 now so eager for that cash!
Had to spend £4.10 on the bus for my hospital appointment this week, plus £1.15 on a pasty as I had to wait over 2 hours and by then I was starving. The bad news is I have 2 weeks of antibiotics so this week I've been feeling very sick and sore and tired, which makes parenting a very sad and often angry child quite difficult.
I spent £39 on 4 presents. I'm thinking I could just get some nice photos and buy some cheap frames for the adults. The kids all have gifts at least. Annoyingly, I keep thinking of things DD needs, but I don't want to spoil her. She's getting far too much stuff as it is!
I got 10metres of wrapping paper for 79p, which was a nice bargain.
A lovely friend of mine said she would drop off some old clothes to see if DD fits in any of them. Based on my memory of getting old clothes from friends, I was expecting some tatty old horrible stuff, but these are amazing! Some bigger stuff to keep for when she's older and loads of lovely long sleeved tops and some gorgeous winter PJs. All DD cared about was the princess dress of course.
I'm finding the days are dragging more and more now the weather is poor and we can't get out much. She's craving school! Still nearly 2 weeks before we even have a plan for starting school! Aaaarrrgggghhhh!!!!
Tomorrow I get a treat - I'm going to visit some friends for a few hours whilst OH has DD. They have promised me cake.:TMortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%
