Renting for 6 months, what are my options?

Hi everyone,
My other half and I are renting for just six months and then moving again. Every deal I seem to look at for broadband and TV is on a 12 month contract or more, does anyone know if you can get a shorter contract anywhere?
Thanks in advance.

I had this issue too a couple of years ago. If I remember correctly we were advised that we could take the service with us when we moved and whilst we would be subject to a new contract we wouldn't have to pay any contract termination penalties so its worth checking.
In our case, we went with Virgin but they couldn't supply us at the next address so we got stung by the termination fees in any case. We did not know where we were moving to at the start of the contract so could not have anticipated that but if you do know where you will go then make sure you use a company that can supply to both properties.£10 a day challenge

For line rental, the PO offer a 30 day deal.
TV requires far more start-up expenditure, so 6m simply isn't economic to do.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Thank you,
We will probably only stay for 6 months but will be moving to a new property so I guess we can just check if we can transfer the contract to a new address without lots of fees involved.0 -
You can do that, but it will start you on a new minimum term contract when you move again. And, as above, if you go with VM and then move to a non-cabled area, you will be charged the full ETC.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
