SonyCard is visa or mastercard?

I just applied there but just wondering if it was via or mastercard? I had a closer look and i thought it looked like american express or something? Coz I might use it to do some bonus hunting on the online casinos but the Visas are a lot easier to use as they allow u to withdraw the money straight back into ur account while mastercard doesn't offer that option...

also, how does applying for a credit card affect my score?

I also heard that if u applied a credit card then basically nick thier freebies and close it straight away counts as a negative towards ur credit score as they don't make any business from u ?

This one is AmEx, this is Mastercard.

Your credit score won't be affected that much, unless you've applied for several cards in a short space of time.
