Using a laptop at a wifi spot

Hi all,
I am looking to start match betting and am looking to do it via a laptop using a wifi connection at pubs and hotels when away.
Is there anything I should be aware of? Handling my card details over such a network? Are bookies anti wifi hotspots?
How much does it usually cost to use a wifi spot?
Thanks
Migwella

All bookies should be using SSL (padlock in corner of browser), therefore your card details should be encrypted between you and the server..
The only problem with wifi hotspots might be the ip address being used for multiple accounts, however I suspect using a different name/card/address should see you ok with this0 -

Thanks for the responses all
20p a minute ... soon adds up. I reckon The Cloud may be an option. Unlimted usage for £10 a month. 50 minutes on BT openzone would see that through0
