I'm honestly surprised people still have to ask, all you have to do is firstly look where the link is really sending you, a German website (.de) and also I'm 99% sure there isn't a bank left who actually sends links anymore, if they do want you to do something they will just tell you to goto your online banking and sign in the normal way.0

Sherbertman didnt know. He knows nothing.
Dont worry sherbertman, its fine. Your right, it is a false email.
Also, be careful of anyone sending emails from Nigeria asking for your bank details in return they give you nearly a million pounds. That is a fake too.
Furthermore, if anyone tries to sell you expensive watches from a car...be careful.0 -
dangeroussports - thanks!
b33r - "Just received this email from "Nationwide". The thing is I am not a Nationwide customer", maybe b33r, don't be so judgemental. I was trying to highlight the fact that not being a Nationwide I had received an email from them.
Oh a little quote - from forum etiquitte -Pls be nice to all MoneySavers. There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.
I await the flames...0 -

I wasn't been judgemental at all, infact I was informing you the two primary things to look for, where the link is really sending you (an important part of user education I learnt about during a recent module) and also reminding you that financial institutions no longer even send links anyway. I apologise if i offended you.0
