It's still sunny up north but clouds are starting to gather. My dad rang from London an hour ago and said it had gone dark there so he was expecting rain.0 -
Sorry to hear that Jo Chick and Mabel have made their journey to the Summerlands.Took MIL around the botanical gardens yesterday as it's wheelchair accessible, she really enjoyed it despite us having to wait an hour to be served drinks , goodness knows what was going on and when the drinks came they were in filthy glasses. If we go to the gardens again we will take our own drinks.Butterfly_Brain wrote: »Aaaaaaaargh! Scratch salad for us tonight - ie cold food, but whatever I can scare up basically; being Friday we're a bit low on the F&V front. We've still got toms though, so it'll end up being Qu0rn sausages (cold), pasta & sultanas in mayo, toms, cheese and pickled onions.
Button the Cockapoo is here; she normally goes to another host, and they've actually had her for most of her holiday, but are going away themselves, so we were asked to have her for the tail end of her break.:D She arrived yesterday and is staying til Sunday.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Well I made some tuna fishcakes following this recipe:

and have placed them in the freezer without cooking again. Hopefully the breadcrumbs will still stick when they defrost.
The children are currently dipping mini doughnuts in the chocolate fountain. They came out really well following the Lakeland recipe - much much better than the recipe that came with the doughnut maker.
I am feeling very tired now. It has been a long day. I didn't get to complete all the chores I had planned but tomorrow is another day2016 Grocery Challenge January: £296.20/£300 February: £262.05/£3000 -

Glasses... I look at them as face adornments. Face jewellery if you like. Since a child ive always wanted to wear them but only really need them for reading.

I didn't realise you were up here too. We went to see grandma giant on Wednesday and that's it for us. Apparently the trains were overcrowded today and the roads chaotic, expecially as the Birkenhead tunnel was closed. We're the other side of the river so we had our week of chaos the other week when the Open was on.0
