Non-sterling Transaction Fee

I recently booked my accommodation for my family holiday direct with the hotel in order to save money. I paid the hotel using a BoS Credit Card. BoS then charged me a non-sterling transaction fee of £110. I have written to them and they are not budging! Can I do anything more about it? How can I avoid this in the future?

It's a fee that has existed for decades. They also publish it clearly so I can't see any case for reimbursement.

Look into Halifax Clarity Credit Card as an alternative.

    The fee has always existed.

Until recently it was not listed separately, instead it was added to the currency conversion and listed under it.

So before you had 2 fees listed as "currency conversion" with one amount, now you have "currency conversion" and "non sterling transaction fee".
