Car insurance engineer says damage due to 2 incidents

You must first complain to the insurer.
Only after the insurer responds or 8 weeks passes can you take the matter to the ombudsman. Before that the ombudsman simply writes a complaint letter for you and having seen their letters, you dont want that.
The ombudsman is supposed to be impartial/ not a consumer champion, and in my opinion dont have the greatest minds on the planet working for them. If the insurer rejects the complaint you may want to consider commissioning your own engineers report before going to the ombudsman as if they have expert evidence and you dont then they may be more easily swayed to the insurers side.0 -
