Mis-sold PCP finance?

Hi, Sorry if this is in the wrong thread!
We bought a car from JCT600 in January this year.
The salesman told us (and I wish we had this recorded) that we could bring our car in at any time and give the car back if our situation changes as the amount of finance will never be more than the value of the car.
We challenged and questioned this but he was certain and it seemed fantastic!
Our situation has now changed, we have a baby on the way and we are looking to get a bigger car and cut back on our outgoings. We tried to 'give the car back' but they said we can only do that half way through the 4 year agreement and there is currently around 4K negative equity if we want to terminate the agreement now.
Does anyone have any experience of this? Or any options we could try?
We're completely stuck now!
Thanks in advance!

I have a car on PCP. It states at what stage i can hand my car back in my contract. It's usually when you have made half the payments. Check your contract.
Unless you have proof then you're stuck with what the contract says.0 -
I agree with the above and would add that you signed and agreed the finance so you're bound by it in respect of payments and the terms and conditions. You're only chance may be with JCT600 as it is them who you claim have lied to you, leading to you believing you had other options - but without proof of what the salesman said, you are going to struggle IMO0
