The AA car insurance wanted proof of my driving licenses or they would cancel my insurance I sent it in after confirming I could email it in time.
but my insurance was still cancelled. They have Admitted it was there mistake and have since set me up on a new policy and are in process of trying to sort it out.

In the future I am worried having to notify my next insurance company that I have had car insurance cancelled.
The AA have told me I can answer no because it was a mistake on there behalf but can I ?

They wanted another deposit even though first payment was not due till august on my first policy with them. But after arguing with them that was sorted

If they rescind the cancellation then there is no issue.

Get something in writing from them to confirm the cancellation was an error by them and indeed the policy should not have been cancelled. As they are a broker they may not be able to reinstate the old policy but the letter should protect you if its ever questioned in the future.
