Well it only seems like weeks ago people were crowing on about house price inflation.``Oh we have borrowed against the equity and bought a new car and had a fabulous hoiday and do you know we didn`t spend a thing because the value of the house has shot up again``
Oh dear, change of thinking going around now!Interest rates on the way up.Media, yes that lot that were talking prices up are scarring the s--- out of folk with house price crash warnings.Talk of negative equity, interest rates going up,what a strange bunch us Brits are when it comes to property.Sentiment can change almost overnight!
The bit that still amazes me is those that would not accept that there is always a cycle in any market. It`s different this time they cried, the govenment won`t let a crash happen.Somehow these people saw the party going on forever.Us bears, quietly tutting away, muttering that the longer the inflation goes on the worse the fall out would be.That sounds a bit told ya so but it was always pretty obvious to me.
